Trending: copper & marble.

I think we can say that 2015 was the year of marble, copper. It got used everywhere: in the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and so on. Copper just gives a warm vibe to a decor piece and marble can make something look very cool and fresh. So it is no suprise when you combine these two you can get a unique looking piece that really stands out. Also we’ve been seeing a lot of geometric objects.

Copper and marble can make a boring piece defintely stand out more. Whether it’s a vase, a bin, a computer sticker,… It looks amazing!

Roomspiration

Spending less time on Pinterest and Weheartit is defintely on my to-do (or not to-do) list of 2016! Side note: happy new year, may the odds ever be in your favor this year. (Yes I know, we’re all tired of that line, but who cares I’m still using it) But as I was saying I love Pinterest and Weheartit so much. These sites don’t fail in letting me dream away and they give me a lot of inspiration.

These are all from Pinterest and urban outfitters. (https://nl.pinterest.com/jessicasente16/home-sweet-home/)

As you see, I love the Tumblr/ vintage/whatever you name it feel. White or a neutral toned wall is always a good idea. You than can spice up the room by putting a sticker of a map, an iron moodboard, a tapestry,… on your wall. Too make the room feel cozy, you can put on some string lights or lampoons. And the last thing that I love in a room are plants especially succulents and cactus. They’re low-maintance and super cute.

These are just a few pictures and this is also for sure not the only style of decorations and interiors I like. In the next roomspiration blogposts, I will show more of what I like and the things that are really trendy right now.

Jessica

Through my lens: Thailand

In the summer of 2015 I went to Thailand. For two weeks we travelled in a group of 9 people from Bangkok all the way to the north of Thailand and back. It’s safe to say that that holiday was far out the best of all I’ve done.

I’d like to share some of my pictures I took. I have so many so there will most likely come another blog post with photo’s of Thailand.

So happy that I got the opportunity to travel to this amazing place with one of my best friends and other amazing people.  (That’s me on the left and my friend Paulien on the right)

During these two weeks I really discovered that I love travelling so much. Seeing other countries, meeting new people, getting to know other cultures,… For me it’s amazing, I hope that I will get the chance to discover so much more of this beautifull planet we live on.

Let’s try it

Welcome everybody

Today I felt like doing something crazy: creating a blog. Just like the thousands of people behind other blogs I want to express my thoughts.  Although I haven’t figured out yet what precisely I’m gonna write about I know one thing and that’s the fact that I love writing. And I want to write about things that makes me happy, interest me and just generally share the thoughts that go through my mind. Don’t worry I’m not gonna share them all, let’s be honest that would be a lot of effort for me to write down and so boring for whoever is reading this.

So because I’ve not figured out yet what I want to write about in this blog post  I’m going to introduce myself. So I was born in the year 1997, which makes me 18 years old. That makes me legally an adult, but let’s be face it: I’m not really. My mother language is Dutch and I’m from Belgium, but I decided that I want to write in English simply because I love the language. It has something about it that I really like and I hope that my English improves by writing my thoughts on my little tiny space in the world of the internet. So there will be mistakes, don’t judge!

For now I’m gonna leave it here, because I want to watch ‘The secret life of Walter Mitty’ and because my mind refuses to give me more inspiration to write about in this first blogpost.

Love,

Jessica
